Home foot care
Clinique GO™ offers home foot care services to adults and seniors. Whether it’s for lighter treatments such as the removal of corns or calluses, or for more intensive follow-ups such as that required for diabetics, our services are always adapted to your needs.
Here is an overview of the foot conditions that our nurses can treat:
- A diabetic foot:
This condition is a consequence of diabetes. Diabetics must pay special attention to the health of their feet to avoid complications. For more information, visit the Diabetes Quebec website. - Nail diseases:
thick, dystrophic, or ingrown nails, etc. - Deformities of the skin of the feet:
corns, calluses, cracks, horns, etc.
Do I need a prescription for foot care?
No prescription is required for foot care when no medication is being administered. Our home care nurses can monitor a variety of conditions affecting your foot health, including diabetes.
Foot care appointment process
Clinique GO™’s certified nurses come in on a timely basis to provide you with courteous, personalized service. Whether it’s to help you keep your feet healthy or to perform specific care, our nurses will be happy to assist you.
Our complete foot care usually includes the following steps:
- Health questionnaire and foot exam.
- Nail trimming.
- Filing.
- Clearing of grooves.
- Wedge technique
- Callus/corn reduction.
- Roughening up.
- Application of cream.
- Specialized services: onychoplasty (nail reconstruction) and orthonixy (correction of nail curvature).
In addition, our nurses will answer all your questions and offer additional resources if needed.
