Need a prescription? Our physician can help!<\/strong><\/h3>\n

You need a medical prescription to undergo a polysomnography. Fortunately, Clinique GOTM<\/sup> has a physician on staff<\/a> who can travel to the location of your choice for a consultation. This service is also available by telemedicine which makes it a lot easier for you to get a prescription.<\/p>\n

A sleep test in your home<\/strong><\/h3>\n

With your prescription in hand, you can contact Clinique GOTM<\/sup> to book your polysomnography. Generally, you won\u2019t have to wait very long for this test. On the day of your test, a respiratory therapist will travel to your home with the polysomnography device required. They will explain how it works and how the test will be carried out. At night, you\u2019ll simply use the device to record your sleep parameters. All while sleeping in the comfort of your own bed!<\/p>\n

Once the sleep test done, our team will pick up the device and your results will be analyzed by a respiratory therapist who will transmit them to a pneumologist. The pneumologist will be the one to assess whether or not your condition requires monitoring.<\/p>\n

If needed, you will be quickly referred to a pneumologist<\/strong><\/h3>\n

If your sleep test is positive and you suffer from sleep apnea, a pneumologist will have to physically evaluate you before determining the treatment that\u2019s right for you. Treatment often includes the use of a CPAP machine, a device that is specifically designed to prevent sleep apnea.<\/p>\n

An appointment with a pneumologist must be done in person and cannot take place at your home. However, if you call upon our team, we guarantee that you will be able to consult with a professional within a reasonable amount of time. Contact your insurance company<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Many private insurance companies will fully or partially reimburse the costs of a sleep test and a CPAP machine.
